Congrats Cait soon to get then just exactly what place have u picked?
Littleredhead a good option for the hen do in the west coast will be galway I think – in fact il prob have mine there but if u are goin in a large group be cautious to get into bars in smaller teams as though they kno u certainly are a hen u will get turned away.
Just as much as i love sligo i wouldnt suggest a hen here! Plus galway posseses an airport where u can travel in from a good few areas
We are living in manchester and hopin to move back home soon but am finding it difficult to make any plans bein so far away – the internet is my saviour and email my friend that is best (therefore sad) lol!
Im up in Northern Ireland. I have hitched in Belfast in 25 times.
Ooh, many thanks for the advice – but could we ask; why would you perhaps not recommend Sligo? Could it be because it’s quiet and small? If therefore, that is exactly what i am trying to find!
I truly want someplace we could hire a cottage close to the coastline, decide on long coastline walks and discover a pleasant cosy but lively pub, as opposed to pubs or groups, for the nights!
I understand it seems actually stupid and like We fall for every thing We see on television, but i would like the type of Ireland the thing is that in movies like PS i enjoy you – with a lot of rurally goodness and old-fashioned music. H2B’s moms and dads are Irish (though he is never lived there) so we’re having a couple of nods to this in the marriage (Irish ceilidh in place of a disco. Can not wait! ) as both of us are actually taken with Irish music, dance and tradition. Let me stick to the theme back at my hen night too!
I’M Irish and staying in Cheshire. Not going to get married in Ireland but I would imagine we will have a ongoing celebration for relatives and buddies who cant make.
Littleredhead – I agree with Bacon become, Galway is a great destination to get and you may often find trad music etc in tiny pubs and its own from the cobecausetline aswell. Perhaps set off a little further towards Clifden after which you’ve got the choice of going into Galway in the event that you have a little annoyed live sexx and for materials.
Beautiful area of the nation however.
It really is little not a lot of clubs which is the reason why i wouldnt reccomend it for the – but coastline wise we do possess some stunning ones esp aughris head beach that has a little coastline club with a thatched roof. However u are very far out of anythig else actually – galway has an excellent mixture of both great beaches great environment and if just what u are searching for is really a ceili however would reccomend Taffes club on store st! Constantly a fantastic musical organization here with a fantastic environment
If u lookup sligo beaches there maybe some more – strandhill is just a lovely spot with a handful of bars (have trad music too) and stunning coastline (really where mr bacon proposed. )
Hope that will help
I am A irish bride, located in Manchester atm, but going returning to the north coastline in about four weeks or more (originally from Lisburn), H2B has his dream job there – yey!! Sooo. Wedding preparation is likely to be a great deal easier. We have been engaged and getting married on June 26th at Lusty Beg in Fermanagh. We am so freaking excited already!! Meeep!!
Other Fermanagh b2b’s?
Aw my cousin had hers in Lusty Beg a couple of years back.
It had been GORGEOUS!
I had mine in Belfast Castle! =
Wow, thanks for most of the advice, specially considering we completely hijacked your thread! I acquired overexcited and talked to my MOH about this; we are really now taking a look at Sligo and County Cork. Perhaps not the town it self, but someplace more rural within the county.
I am from Sligo, surviving in London and having hitched in Italy i realize exacltly what the going through with perhaps perhaps not being here to organise etc. Can be very stressfull. Where are you currently marrying and where is reception??

LittleRedHead -I got hitched in Cork City October that is last!!
We married within the North Cathedral together with our reception in Blarney. Location-wise it is superb and never past an acceptable limit through the populous city either. It’s possible to have your picture’s taken during the castle helping to make a backdrop that is lovely allowing. Unfortuitously, we had beenn’t in a position to make the most of this since it rained (unusually for Ireland!! ) on our big day!
We had been straight straight back during the place on for our anniversary dinner, and just happened to glance at their wedding brochures sunday. They will have some fantastic packages there which appear really the best value for cash.
They likewise have a sister hotel in Bunratty, Co Clare which will be simply gorgeous! We invested our vacation there after a disaster that is slight the first resort we booked, as well as could not do sufficient for people!
Hope this can help. Email me if you would like further assistance or info.
BTW – should you select elect to head to Galway, DON’T go right to the Galway Bay. That has been where we’d a tragedy because of the available spaces, together with to go to Bunratty. The ‘G’ is way better IMO.

Hi I experienced my hen week-end at Lough Rynn a year ago, its therefore breathtaking, we remained in the accommodation thats within the grounds, high grade accommodation. Had lunch in Lough rynn it was lovely, it abthereforelutely was so cosy the direction they have actually the split seating areas it’s like getting your very very own family area, the major space for which you may have your pre supper products was lovely, that they had the christmas tree that is biggest up. Hoping to return back this season for the anniversary that is first and at Lough rynn. Enjoy all the prep for the wedding I happened to be on this type of downer whenever ours ended up being over.
